Dreezle Draw is a free online painting activity for kids hosted at dreezle.com. We designed it from the ground up to comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the U.S. federal law that protects the privacy of children under 13.
Most online tools for kids collect some amount of personal information — even if it's just an email address for account creation, a cookie for analytics, or a device identifier for ad targeting. Dreezle Draw collects none of these. Our approach to COPPA compliance is simple: if you don't collect personal information, there's nothing to mishandle.
Dreezle Draw does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. Specifically:
Dreezle Draw uses your browser's local storage to keep a recovery copy of the current painting. This serves two purposes: it provides undo capability while painting, and it allows a child's work to be restored if they accidentally close the tab or navigate away from the page.
This data is the painting's pixel content — the colors on the canvas. It is not personal information under COPPA. It is stored only on the user's own device, is never transmitted to our servers, and is automatically replaced each time a new painting is started.
When a child saves their painting, the image file downloads directly to their own device. It is generated entirely inside the browser and never passes through our servers.
Dreezle Draw is a free activity supported by advertising. We work only with ad partners who are certified for serving ads to child-directed content. All advertising on dreezle.com is contextually targeted — ads are selected based on the content of the page, not on any information about the user. No behavioral targeting, no personal data shared with ad partners, and no interest-based profiling.
Our ad partners may receive limited technical information (such as IP address, browser type, and screen size) solely for the purpose of delivering an ad and preventing fraud. This information is not used to build user profiles or track users across sites.
We do not permit ads for alcohol, tobacco, gambling, dating, or any other category inappropriate for children.
COPPA gives parents the right to review, modify, and delete personal information collected from their children. Because Dreezle Draw does not collect personal information of any kind, there is nothing to review, modify, or delete — and that's by design.
If you are a teacher or school administrator evaluating tools for classroom use, Dreezle Draw requires no student accounts, no district data agreements, and no parental consent forms. Students open the page in a browser and start creating.
